Are You And Your Partner Struggling As A Couple—And As Individuals?

Do you feel stuck in ongoing relationship conflict, seemingly with no resolution in sight? Does it seem that you and your spouse or significant other are disconnected from not only each other but also yourselves? Maybe one or both of you are struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, trauma or something else that is making it difficult to bring your best self to the relationship. It may be that your relationship no longer feels secure and supportive, and you don’t feel understood or valued by your partner. Have you tried everything you can think of, including weekly couples therapy, but nothing seems to help? Do you crave a different approach to that offers valuable, applicable guidance?

Healthy relationships can offer a sense of safety, security and connection. When you feel like the best version of yourself, you’re better equipped to perpetuate a positive, nurturing cycle in your relationship. However, it’s not always easy to set that cycle into motion. In fact, when you and your spouse or significant other are in conflict, it can be extremely difficult to break harmful patterns and restore intimacy and trust. Unresolved individual issues, including trauma and anger, can trigger heightened emotions, making productive communication difficult. And, communication issues can deepen individual emotional wounds.

Over time, many couples find themselves in crisis, unsure how to identify and address root causes of disconnection and conflict. Sometimes, it can seem that even couples counseling only skims the surface, providing temporary fixes that don’t last. If you’re feeling frustrated, overwhelmed and unsure of how to repair your relationship, you are not alone. With Crossroads’ Couples Transformation Program, it is possible to get to the root of your challenges and create a new plan for healing.

What Can We Expect From The Couples Transformational Program?

This program is designed for couples in crisis– couples dissatisfied with weekly counseling sessions, couples who have been through a betrayal and/or couples who are considering separation. In experiential, intensive couples counseling sessions, you and your partner can expect to gain clarity and work through the issues that are weighing you down as partners and individuals.

Our goal is to help you and your partner develop the skills you need to create The 3 Cs:

  • Connection
  • Communication
  • Conflict Resolution

To do this, your therapist will invite the two of you to complete a comprehensive couples assessment.

First, you and your partner will come in for a shared session so you can discuss your relationship. Then, your therapist will meet with you each individually so you can each discuss your perspective on the relationship, as well as any other concerns you may have.

Once your therapist has developed a clearer picture of your needs as a couple and as individuals, you will meet all together and collaboratively design a unique plan of action, which may include individual therapy, couples seminars, workshops and more.

With comprehensive guidance and support, you and your spouse/significant other can become stronger individuals, more intimate partners and a healthier, more loving team.
