Kaleigh Hawkins, LMSW

 

Kaleigh knows it can be overwhelming to find a therapist. Finding the right “fit” in therapy is very important to make sure you are getting the best help possible. Knowing that you are the expert in your life, Kaleigh strives to create a safe and collaborative place for her clients to work towards their goals. She will travel alongside you on your therapy journey to provide empathy, insight, empowerment, and at times ask you to challenge yourself and take risks.

 

Kaleigh is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and graduated with her masters in Social Work in 2015 from Arizona State University. The majority of her work has been at a nonprofit agency working with children and families that have experienced trauma. She has also worked in hospital and school settings, as well as private practice. Kaleigh enjoys working with children of all ages, adolescents, individuals, and families. She has experience in working with clients in the following areas: anxiety, depression, self- harm, trauma, ADHD, premarital counseling, parent-child relationships and other parenting issues, blended families, and other life transitions and stressors. Kaleigh also offers counseling services from a Christian perspective, should that align with her client’s preferences and values.

 

Kaleigh uses many different modalities in her work including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques. She is also trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused- CBT, and sand tray therapy. Kalegh works with her clients to develop their treatment goals, and determine which approach will work best for them.

We all hold many roles and titles in life. A few of Kaleigh’s are wife, mom and stepmom, social worker, therapist, and aspiring yogi. She is married and has 4 wonderful children and 2 dogs that fills her life with both chaos and joy. Kaleigh truly loves her career as a social worker/therapist. She believes it is a privilege to sit with people in their darkest moments, and then to be able to celebrate healing with them.
