When holding emotions in a safe space, you are able to utilize the strengths you already possess to continue to grow and succeed. It is Deanna’s top priority for clients to feel heard, understood and validated in their experience in her therapy room.

As a therapist, Deanna works with couples, families and individuals at many different stages of life. She specializes in utilizing her training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, to help couples de-escalate and navigate difficult communication patterns that often make us feel “stuck.” Deanna is a Prepare/Enrich premarital facilitator and can help walk you through a faith-based assessment that will set you up to have success in your future marriage.

With years of systemic training, Deanna treats families in all stages of life – including blended family concerns, parenting needs, as well as navigating the journey of parenting a child who has suffered trauma in the past. She has specific experience in working with adolescents and teenage females navigating through the challenge this phase of life may bring in the modern world – anxiety, depression, effects of social media, etc.

Deanna seeks to bring an attachment and trauma-informed focus to her therapy process with individuals as well. She utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to target PTSD symptoms, as well as recurring negative beliefs we hold about ourselves. Specializing in work with teenage girls surrounding facilitating resilience, knowledge of coping skills, self-harm and suicidal ideation, she can help provide skills to navigate and provide guidance through that difficult phase of life.
