Brooke Austin MA, LPC
Brooke’s goal in therapy is to provide a compassionate and safe space for you to reclaim your true self and break free from negative beliefs that are no longer serving you. She works with adult individuals, teens, and couples, who are seeking to gain freedom from shame and isolation with the goal of living a more fulfilling, authentic, and connected life.
Brooke utilizes a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to therapy. She will work with you to identify the current barriers that are keeping you stuck, process through pain points, and help you to activate your innate strengths in order to course-correct towards God’s original design for your life.
Brooke is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma. She and has foundational training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples therapy. Brooke received her Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in the Treatment of Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation from Ottawa University in 2020.
Brooke has experience working with a wide range of clients. She has a heart for working with individuals who are healing from abuse-related trauma, or any type of relationship wounding. Brooke also enjoys working with clients in the young-adult range in the areas of improving self-worth, navigating life transitions, coping with anxiety/depression, and fostering healthy relationships.
Brooke is passionate about her continued learning and growth as a therapist. She regularly attends workshops and trainings to further her education and professional development, and has a daily practice of pursuing psycho-education on relevant topics in order to stay well-resourced for herself and her clients.
