Kristen Radke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She currently sees clients out of the Scottsdale, North Phoenix, and Biltmore locations.
Coming to therapy for the first time can feel scary, intimidating, filled with uncertainty about what to expect. Kristen’s belief is that therapy is a normal, collaborative process – a place where someone else can hold space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and / or behaviors – and learn to make changes that can help you thrive. Through therapy, you can learn more about your own unique processing style, how to implement boundaries, instill healthier beliefs about yourself, learn about your own sense of values, and develop more fulfilling and healthy relationships.
Kristen’s hope is that you leave sessions with a better understanding of yourself and your environment, in order to live a more intentional, fulfilling life. She is passionate about helping others take charge of their lives through deeper healing. She works with individuals and couples to address topics including relational concerns, parenting problems, communication issues, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and depression. Kristen also provides Christian counseling – counseling based on biblical wisdom and insight – in order to address concerns from a more faith-based perspective.
Kristen utilizes a wide range of therapeutic models, including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Kristen is also committed to her own personal and professional growth, and has attended trainings including, but not limited to: the Neurobiology of Trauma, Arizona Trauma Institute Trauma Specialist training, Emotionally Focused Therapy trainings. Kristen is also certified as a Telemental Health provider, and does offer tele-therapy sessions upon request. Kristen has been working in the field of social work since obtaining her Masters Degree in 2012.
Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog, and serving at her church. Her hobbies include: hiking, reading, music, and yoga. Kristen is grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside her clients at Crossroads Family Christian Counseling. She would love to partner with you, for greater freedom in your life and relationships.
“I will praise the LORD who counsels me–even at night my conscience instructs me. I keep the LORD in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” -Psalm 16:7-8
