Ashlea Taylor MAS-MFT, LMFT
Ashlea M. Taylor is an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who strives on being an integral difference to change people’s lives. Ashlea graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Advanced Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. With over 7 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field, Ashlea has gained a wealth of life wisdom and therapeutic techniques specifically tailored to meet each client’s needs while keeping them engaged in the therapeutic process. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Ashlea loves utilizing experiential techniques with couples, families, and children. She has acquired skills while working with high acuity children, adults, and their families within community behavioral health settings and has therapeutically managed non-profit and for-profit entities. Ashlea specializes in working with families that cope with serious mental illness (SMI) and uncovering generational patterns of dysfunction. Ashlea’s philosophy is to create an environment where the systematic root of inter-and intrapersonal conflicts can be addressed, and where client’s goals can be met.
Ashlea has worked with people from various backgrounds and enjoys the challenge and complexity that each individual brings. Ashlea strives to create a relaxed, safe and productive atmosphere where clients can feel at ease during their time of growth and exploration. In addition, Ashlea is experienced in working with clients suffering from trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and various addictive behaviors. She is also trained and certified in utilizing a multitude of therapies such as: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
In her personal life, Ashlea enjoys going to the movies, concerts, and being involved in church and community-based organizations. She enjoys singing in her church choir and volunteering with a non-profit Christian-based organization called Elevate International. Since 2006, Ashlea has been a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, whose vision is to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the United States and globally through community service, civil, and social action.
